Happy holidays: here's another free comic
"A Holiday Wrap" - a 1980s pop-culture homage mini-comic by Omar Morales
Hey everyone, hope you’re having a great holiday season!
Today I share “A Holiday Wrap” with you - an homage to my favorite Christmas song of all time, “Christmas Wrapping,” by The Waitresses. This was created with permission from the record company, ZE Records, and made with so much love and care for the source material. Art by Alex Diotto, Colors by Ellie Wright, Letters by Micah Myers, and cover art by Jenna Stark. You can download it as a PDF at my site, or just scroll below.
I know I haven’t been that active in posting blogs and free comics this year, but it’s for good reason. I’ve been super busy prepping for an exclusive release with Amazon’s ComiXology Originals (announcement here), as well as a couple of new pitches for 2025, and of course, some mini-comics based on my fan favorite franchises.
These little mini comics I make are such a joy to create and it brings me so much happiness to share with you all. Thanks for reading and sharing — I appreciate it!
Without further ado, here is the comic, featuring two lead characters that have lived rent free in my head for some 40 years. They are two star-crossed lovers, passing like ships in the night until Christmas magic takes their fate into its own hands. If you love 1980s pop culture, rom-coms, and alternate realities, then this story is for you! The truth is out there, true believers! 😉
Thanks again — my best to you and yours this holiday season!
Happy holidays! Loved catching up to this after the New Year and getting some holidays back in my life. Keep it up, brother!
Thanks for sharing such a great, fun comic!! I don’t know what made me laugh more, “state-of-the-art brick phone” or Skinner’s Grocery & Deli. XD Have a wonderful holiday season!
